I have no idea why.... I think Lexus and others companies should look into OTAs (over the air updates) using GPS signals and HD radios. Here in Canada we don't even have HD radio traffic updates.

Twice per year we spend 10 seconds changing this if necessary.

I totally agree. These are the exact words I said to my wife. I actually love the look of the analog clock. Unfortunately I go to the digital one to tell time.

I think that's become human nature. I wear a watch every day and look to my phone for the time.

I find it more difficult to tell the time looking at analog clock and if there is glare it's almost unreadable unless I move my head for a more direct view, all of which means I have to take my eyes off the road for a longer time vs reading the digital clock.

I've had that problem with digital clocks too, I guess it depends on the make and what contrast they have.

Infiniti has the analog clock in all of their vehicles and it drove me nuts at first when I had my G37. I eventually got used to it and wearing automatic watches helped train my eye. I don't really notice the analog clock in the RX because of the HUD display taking my attention. And I also find myself looking at time on the odometer display.

I would like the temp gauge and the digital clock be a bit larger, gee you spend 60 grand on a car, you would think they could at least design gauges that fossils could see!! hahahahaha

Totally agree. I love the clock but wider hands or more contrasting material colors would have made this better

I think the analog clock is meant to be a signature symbol for Lexus. It needs to look classy and it needs to fit in any vehicle that is a Lexus. It is not meant to be a super functional piece. It serves its purpose well, because that is the one thing I noticed right away in the newer generation coming from a 2010 RX. I think in future years when/if Lexus has ever decided to get rid of it, there will be lots of people missing it. Things like these tend to grow on people.

Got the new RX350 and absolutely hated the analog clock. Clock is very hard to read and visibility is horrible. Lexus should change it to an Android clock and let the user customize if they want analog or digital or something cool like the temp control displays in the GSF.

Lexus probably puts it there for "the look", see post 70. If you can't see it, use the digital clock on the dash.

I vote for removing the clock and putting in an upscale air conditioner switch.

Honestly, I've never used it. I'm constantly changing the fan speed and that ends auto. I never could figure out how it sometimes comes on the first place.
If there is humidity in the car and you want to lower it by using a/c, does auto take care of that??
I guess it's my need for control.
