Two Separate Displays
I purchased a used 2020 RX. The multimedia display I see is this older looking, basic display. If I press the voice command button, a Google page appears. If I hit menu from there on the navigation keypad, I see a beautiful, updated display. But if I hit Bluetooth or Car Device on that menu, I go back to the much less pretty display.
If it’s helpful to know, when I got into it for the first time, it said connecting to Android Auto. I don’t have an android. It’s like my car won’t truly connect to my phone. When I try to connect via Bluetooth, it sees Other Devices on my iPhone as BT1012 most of the time. Sometimes I see HelloPickle’s IPhone but it won’t stay connected to it. It does to BT1012. And while playing around in the menus, I clicked Video and some video of scantily clad women and cars started playing. I’ve done the whole “delete personal data” thing but it doesn’t seem to work. Any suggestions? Maybe disconnecting the battery?
