Default TPMS tool

2014 RX350.
I picked up a second set of wheels with OEM TPMS. So I now have a set of designated winter wheels and summer wheels.
Can someone recommend a specific tool (brand and model) that will read my present sensors, and allow me to enter the data through the OBD port.
I understand the car can only retain one set of sensors at a time, so I would be using it twice a year, so purchasing the tool is worth it for me.
I can also do it at my convenience, which beats waiting in line. please don't mention covering up the light, I'm only interested in a tool.

I think they are still so limited and expensive that it's "not worth it" but I'm interested to see. Since my tires were purchased at Costco, they do it for free twice a year with no appointment required.

Techstream should do that for you.

It appears you can do it with Carista. It also will let you customize many other settings.

Note from Carista: You do need to have the TPMS IDs in order to register them, so we advise users to write them somewhere before getting the tires mounted. Unfortunately, reading the IDs remotely with the tires mounted requires specific hardware and can't be done with a phone/app. So if you're already in that situation, you could ask a tire shop to read them for you and then register them yourself.

Once again, Techstream will get those ID numbers for you.

Searching I found this that will do the job:
Amazon Amazon

I would like a version of Techstream as well, can someone give a specific link to a known good source please.

I would need to do the TPMS reset twice a year, so cost is relative. Will techstream do all the tool above will do?

Techstream will require old windoze machine with legacy OS [back version]. Let me know if there is an alternate.

Also, any Windows 10 32 bit machine. Many of us in the SC430 forum have and use Techstream. Most of us have an older computer that we just use for Techstream. Many use an old XP or W7 machine but I use a 32 bit W10. Easy to do.

You can also put it on a Virtual Machine running Windows XP which allows you to run MacOS without switching to different partitions. I used the Oracle VM VirtualBox which is free and since Windows XP is now part of the public domain it can also be sourced officially for free.

As for a 3rd party tool, I personally went with the Autel MaxiTPMS TS508. It's a bit overkill for DIY but works really well and is user friendly. Techstream has a steeper learning curve and is more difficult to get it working.

You could also take it a step further and clone the same 4 IDs you currently have on the regular set and copy them to a new set of Autel MX TPMS sensors for the winter tires. By having them cloned the car will always see the same set of IDs whether you're on regular or winter wheels. The only annoying part is the cloned sensors will interfere with the warning system when you're within their range, which is about 30-40 feet. However as long both sets of tires are pumped up above the minimum tire pressure threshold you will not receive any warning lights on the dash.

Quick set x by ateq

I have a 2014 is 250 and my mom a 2021 rc350
Every year we switch between summer and winter tires and I reprogram the tpms sensors with it, takes 2 mins tops, I would assume it would works for any lexus because in the car selection menu it has all models (note i have the oem denso tpms sensors in there some cheap aftermarket ones might not work)

The tool set me back 300$ ish but with the 4 cars I do every year its well worth it

An Autel TS508 is a good investment. Easy to use, intuitive.
