Default How Do I Determine What Options an RX Has ?

I'm shopping for a used RX350 and I'm wondering how best to figure out what options a car has. Is there a way to check by VIN# or is there a list located somewhere on the body ? I'd like to find one with the trailer tow package, turns out the package can come without a hitch. I can look once I see the car in person, but it would be nice not to have to drive and see every vehicle in question. I was also surprised that most of the ones I have found don't have the rain sensing windshield wipers - seems almost all of the 2nd gens I've looked at do have the option.. Is there a certain package that had these wipers ? I have a 2005 GX with the option and love it.

I was able to get that info about my car from the Lexus web site. I somehow stumbled on a chat feature and the kind lady on the other end told me most of what I wanted to know. It seems there was something she couldn't tell me but I don;t remember now what that was.

This doesn't answer conclusively, but I found it to be a big help:

Or the OP can go to a Lexus dealership and ask. If I were to buy it, I would go to a Lexus dealership who has nothing to do with the sale and ask and pay for a pre-inspection. This way, you will be given a very detailed report of EVERYTHING, including what they found "WRONG" with the vehicle.

Just download all the brochures (search google 2013 lexus rx brochure etc). Then compare you target car's equipment with the options in the list on the brochure.

I did that a few weeks before I went shopping so I could narrow in on exactly the year and packages I wanted - a 2013 with ultra premium 1. and I think I ended up with a great deal because of it because I knew more about the car than the dealer did!

Thanks a ton guys the link was priceless in helping determine options and packages. I ended up with a 2012 RX350 AWD with the Nav, Premum, and Comfort packages along with the trailer prep and remote start options. Really clean with 84K miles, black on black. Pick it up tomorrow. Think I'm really gonna like it.

Default Getting options list.

Guys any way to get a list of options using a VIN? I already pulled the service history through Lexus site.

Im trying to purchase a RX for my wife though an auction site and their details are limited.

Also, if anyone could point out common issues. I wasnt able to find a post that points that out.

This would be my wife's first Lexus.

Thanks a lot.

Enter the VIN at https://drivers.lexus.com/lexusdrive.../vehicle-specs

There is no need to register.
