Asked over on the special-interest forum and never heard from anyone, so I thought I'd try here, since there are more eyes here:

2010 RX GPS: when I display the moving map there is a black rectangular box containing the name of the current street covering part of the map at the bottom. Is there any way to get rid of that box, so that I can see just the map, as on a conventional GPS presentation?

On the same screen, have you played with display on/off options?

Lexus has tried to get any from hidden menus [like under the setup] and has these right on the screen you are viewing. I searched everywhere how to hide 'places that serve food' and it was right there under display on/off.
