Default Navigation map display size

Can one make the map the full width of the screen getting rid of right side information?

As I menrtioned in your other post in the RX forum, the software for fullscreen maps wasn't introduced in the GS until the 2016+MY.

Theoretically you should beable to replace the headinit with one from a 2016+ model but is it really worth the trouble?

I remember someone had made a post about this a few threads back about the differences between head-units. Has anyone attempted this?

You can't do it. 2013/2014 and 2015 Radios have different plugs.
I haven't yet found a picture of the plugs on a 2016 radio, but it'll be the same as a 2015 or worse introduce new changes.

Whether you can port the software is an open question, but the bigger the changes to the internal hardware, the less likely that will be possible.
