"I'm Hungry"
So while driving I gave the "I'm hungry" voice command and ALL food POI icons appeared on the screen. When I turned off the car, I hoped it would reset. Now I'm stuck with all of these icons on my screen and it's REALLY annoying. I go into the POI icon menu and get into the restaurants screen and when I hit the all restaurants button it proceeds to simply tell me that I've already selected that. Well then, how do I get rid of them? Sometimes the Nav isn't the most intuitive thing...
This is for the people that don't read the NAV/Car manuals, just take out sometime to read the instructions etc. It doesn't take long to read the whole thing and you will learn a bunch of things from it. Why bother paying more for the NAV system if you don't want to learn how to use it properly. If you have time to surf CL and make post you can figure out how to delete POI from the NAV system by reading the section in the booklet. Or you could go to lexus website and click on the IS, go to features (interior), click on NAV and go through the NAV tutorials. Its very usefull and very detailed.

"POI off" worked just fine - thanks!
I never use the voice command system but was just talking with a friend one day about how i can say "I'm hungry" so we tested it out, and then they were there....always! With the Nav hack, it's much easier in my opinion to just scroll the menus rather than trying to get the pseudo english voice recognition software to decipher what the hell i was trying to say. Had voice recognition in my SRT8 Grand Cherokee and disliked it there as well.

I got no love when I said "I'm horny" to the lady speaking in my car. She said, "Command not recognized", and immediately shut off the voice recognition.
Maybe she knew what I said and got a bit upset.
