Just bought all three at Rock Auto -- I chose in the premium category for the front and the only one they had for the rear -- all are the entire kit (blade and frame). They came quickly and the cost was reasonable (about the same cost as just the blade). I have not installed them yet. Last time I replaced the blades alone (just the front ones) and with our northern Illinois winters, they did not last a year. Hopefully these will be better (I think the last ones were Rain X). Sorry, the table did not copy, only the data:

Part Number Part Type Price EA Core EA Quantity Total 2010 LEXUS RX350 3.5L V6
DENSO 1605516 (160-5516) Wiper Blade $ 9.39 $ 0.00 1 $ 9.39
TRICO 16220 (16-220) Wiper Blade $ 6.80 $ 0.00 1 $ 6.80
TRICO 16260 (16-260) Wiper Blade $ 8.24 $ 0.00 1 $ 8.24
Shipping Ground $ 8.99
Tax $ 2.09
Order Total
$ 35.51 MasterCard
-$ 35.51
Balance Due
$ 0.00
Turns out the words "wiper blades" in the above are hyperlinks to the rock auto page for these wipers.

Thanks, WHLex......I visited Rock Auto website and I see the pricing for the various categories of wiper blades for the 2012 Lexus RX350..... Amazon doesn't have such categories, but a place like Rock Auto would...so, the pricing for the Denso 160-3122 and 160-3126 on Amazon which I referred to in my original post ($51.50), turns out to be wiper blades in the "hybrid" category on Rock Auto....and within the Rock Auto Hybrid category, the Denso is by far the priciest offered...other hybrids are much less. With shipping, Rock Auto is about the same price as Amazon. I know you referred to the No. Illinois winters, etc., but I know the only reason I looked up "Denso" was that someone in this thread mentioned they make the Lexus wiper blades, and are top-notch even if sold at a premium price. Now, as you say, top-notch or not-so-top notch, in your experience wiper blades last only a year or so anyway, so no need to over-spend, but that hasn't been my experience with the Bosch wiper blades on my car here in suburban NYC area....so, in response to your post, would you have an opinion on why Denso gets a premium price even at Rock Auto, and 2/. in our view, are hybrids worth it. Many thanks

There are two types of wiper blades out there; rubber and silicone.

Rubber wiper blades, even the very expensive ones, last about a year, and they often make noise from day one.

Silicone wipers will last more than one year, and work smooth and quiet. I replaced mine 18 months ago, so they survived two winters, and the wipers still work like new.

If you're looking at premium blades, make sure you are buying silicone, you'll be happy with them.

But there is nothing wrong with buying cheap blades and replacing them every year.

The longest-lasting and best-wiping refills I have ever purchased were PIAA silicone refills for my wife's 2006 Jaguar XK8 convertible. They were pricey as refills go ($10 to $12 each) but they lasted more than 3 years on that car. And that was back when the XK8 was my wife's daily driver. These days, her 2015 RX350 is her daily driver and the XK8 has been relegated to fair-weather toy status.

I am currently using the Goodyear blades I got at Costco and they are just fine for the price.
**THANKS for these suggestions. I guess in some order decision is whether 1/ conventional, beam or hybrid style?.....2/ rubber or silicone?.....and then do the pricing .... where do you come out on those product choices? Word is that silicone is comparatively more expensive but lasts longer, and PIAA Silicone Beam style is about $47 a pair....For rubber beam or hybrid style, I see a huge variance in prices, no clarity on reasons why: Denso hybrids $51 pair, Michelin Guardian Hybrids $18 pair at Costco, Bosch Icons $43 a pair. .Too much variance in price, I wouldn't know what's the variables, and Bosch and Denso very close in price to the PIAA silicones. Again, your thoughts welcome!
Now the rear blade is strange and it may be worth getting a refill, but eBay is a good source for those. There are many discount Lexus dealers selling OEM on eBay and it is likely you have the original blade back there. The trick to replace the rear is to turn on the wiper, then when it is in the middle of the window shut off the car. Then you can access it to swap the blade. Youtube has videos.
Thanks....I was wondering how to do that!

Hi - I don't know the answers to your questions, but here are some random wiper thoughts: My RX stays outside (not garaged ) - I've felt that the rear wiper is more to push snow off the rear screen than anything else (so I did not replace it the last time I bought blades - will do so this time) and the outside stay may also cause my wipers to last only a year or so. I'm certain that I have used Bosch wipers in the past, and I'm sure they were fine. I would like to have had the heated wiper arms as most of the damage to the blades seems to come from those bits of ice that stay on the windscreen after scraping. I thought the Rock Auto prices I paid to be very good - in the past I have bought just replacement blades for similar prices. I know that some of the brick and mortar auto parts stores will replace the wipers at no additional cost if you buy them there (not sure if that includes just the blades) - just like they do for batteries. I will install the new wipers soon and we'll see if the results are good. (fyi, in my first post, the Denso product is the rear wiper)

Clutchless I don't know where you get this info.

"Most Lexus OEM blades in the North American made models are Trico"

Almost all Toyota and Lexus products for the last decade have been coming with Denso. I think it is even longer than that. The OEM that you get at both Toyota and Lexus is a Denso in a Toyota box.

According to my friend with Yoda like knowledge of the car industry, both Denso and Trico are OEM suppliers of wiper blades to North American built Lexus & Toyota. They are not likely to single source all components for a vehicle for items that are about the same for every vehicle, such as wipers, and tires, etc.
What you get in the parts box at the dealer often is not the brand they use at the manufacturing plant. Brake pads are another example of this.

Trico is probably the largest wiper blade company and invented the wiper blade in 1917 and I think invented the beam blade. Trico is an OEM supplier to over 20 car manufacturers and recently bought Fram filters.

From D&B:
Onto every car a little rain must fall -- that's where Trico Products comes in. One of the leading manufacturers of its kind, Trico designs, makes, and distributes windshield wiper systems and electronics for about two dozen of the world's car makers, as well as wiper blades and accessories for the consumer replacement market. Trico produces millions of wiper products a year, including wiper motors, wiper arms, windshield washer systems, and linkages. The company also makes wiper systems for heavy-duty trucks and RVs. Its electronics division makes electronic controls for automotive wiper system rain sensors. Wiper brands include Force, Onyx, NeoForm, Flex, Shield, Ice, and Chill.

Question Help to indetify wiper blades

Hi,

I have right now wiper blades that performs really well. They lasted more than year and still good.
I would like to buy the same pair of wiper blades. I have removed them, but I can't found anything about manufacturer.

Google is quiet about the numbers on the image. Except for "wrc2/e" that sounds like genuine Toyota.

Can someone help to identify the manufacturer and type of the blades ?

That is a Denso Low profile blade # 160-3126. Passenger side is 160-3122. I have them on three Lexus cars at this point. I agree, they work very well and are the OEM blade that came on my 2015 RX.

You can purchase just the refills at any Toyota dealership. Usually about $10 per side.

I doubt if Rock Auto has the refills. Generally they can only be found at the Toyota dealership. I can only tell you my experience. I have never been able to refill a blade and have it work as well as a new blade. Others will say they have been successful. Only my experience. My feeling is that even though the percentage cost is much higher, the overall cost is negligible. This is why I always buy new rather than refill.

Thanks. Noted...

Just called my local Toyota dealership Maple, ON - they indeed have the refills in stock: 9.95 CAD. I will try my luck with inserts, if the results will not be OMG, I will switch to plan B: I have Denso part number for next Rockauto order.

Thanks again for everyone for help!

I buy the refills at our local Toyota dealership. They are OEM and typically last a couple of years. Works for me.
