Windshield Wipers
I've had the same wipers on my 2013 certified preowned RX350 since 2015. They will need to be replaced soon. Anybody recommend wipers? I know Lexus sells their own. Might just go that route again since I've seemed to have good luck with them. Anybody know who makes their wipers for them?

The OEM blades are Denso. At least they are on my 15 and I think Lexus has been using them for some time. The part number is 160-3126 and 160-3122. These can be refilled also if that is your preference. Don't buy from Lexus. It is just a Denso blade in a Toyota box at twice the price. I have been using them on my 06 SC430 and they are very good blades. The ones on my 15 RX are original and they work as good a new.

Thank you. Exactly what I was looking for. Will probably Amazon it.

That is where I got mine for the SC and I just bought the exact ones for an 04 RX my daughter just purchased.

I used to get over a year out of Bosch Icons, but their quality seems to have gone down in recent years. I'm intensely demanding in terms of absolutely no streaks or lines with a perfectly clear wipe, and once I get a line or streak, the wipers have to go. Comparatively, I didn't get a year on my first OEM refills, either.

I can't imagine only getting a year out of wiper blades. About every 6 months I take some alcohol and wipe them down. The amount of dirt that comes off is incredible. This seems to help them last a long time. It is raining here in Virginia as I write this and just got home in the RX and no streaks with the original 2015 blades.

Went and ordered the Denso's. Paid $45 but figure they will last me at least 3 years. I've had good luck with the ones Lexus put on for me in 2015. They still work fine, just feel like replacing them at some point soon.

I do the refills also until the wiping arm gets really old and disclolored.

I should probably try the alcohol wipe to see if I can get extended life. The only thing I hate more than a dirty windshield is having someone leave food in my vehicle!

No matter what type of preventative maintenance I try, cannot get more than a year from wiper blades living in the high desert. It was 119 degrees F external temp on my car thermometer last week, though I park near the flight line and the tarmac seems to produce heat. For that matter, never had a car battery last over 3 years either. I order refills from amazon, usually from a Toyota dealer that sells on amazon. Interestingly I had to order from 2 different sellers last time because each one only had one of the sizes.

I have a 2013 Lexus RX 350 which I bought used certified. Previous owner must have removed OEM wiper assembly and replaced with aftermarket. My question is Are OEM wiper better on Lexus RX 350? OEM wiper - We just need to replace rubber and not the whole assembly. Dealer sells those rubber for 10$ a piece where as I can buy whole wiper from costco for 8$. If OEM wiper perform better then I would like to go for them instead of some aftermarket.

I use the inserts with the original arms. I get all three at the same time. I have yet to change more than the inserts and find that I'm getting about 1.5-2 years out of them. I don't wipe them down aside from when washing the car. I'm sure most any decent wiper will do just fine.

There are aftermarket wipers where you can just replace inserts as well. I don't have an exhaustive list off the top of my head but I know the PIAA Super Silicones are like this. EDIT: Trico seems to be another option.

The OEM wipers are good wipers but IIRC the assemblies are going to cost quite a bit.

Wiper Blade Refills
2015 RX350 FWD

I am looking for the appropriate wiper blade refills (just the rubber inserts, not the entire metal blade-holder assemblies). It appears that these vehicles use the beam-type refills (26-inch driver side, 22-inch passenger side, both with what looks to be a 6mm claw width). Has anyone found a set of beam-type refills that will fit properly and lock into the factory metal blade-holder assembly channels? If so, what is the refill brand name and model number?

Not interested in the refills that the Lexus dealership parts departments sell for five times what they should cost in a typical auto parts store such as NAPA.

The OEM blade on the 2015 is Denso. They are not metal, but plastic. It is the low profile style. They are refillable and the refills are availble at the Toyota dealer. Refills are not widely available anymore. Most just replace the blade. You can also get the refills at mylexusparts.com.
