Bluetooth module
The Bluetooth in my 2013 RX 350 stopped working and froze. I could no longer access either of the phones that are connected. I received a message "Bluetooth module not connected - call the dealer". I shut down both phones and turned off the car. When I restarted the car and turned my phone back on the Bluetooth seemed to be restored. Can anyone tell me what happened and if there is a permanent fix?
I am having same problem on 2013 RX 350. The problems started after I changed my phone from iPhone to Galaxy S6 Edge. There is something wrong in the car bluetooth module in handling galaxy phones. It appears it is compatible with iPhone than galaxy.
Same galaxy S6 phone works fine on other car(sienna) bluetooth. Definitely something wrong with bluetooth s/w in Lexus.

It just happened to me! Yesterday it gave me that message and I decided to ignore it. This morning it happened again. I took the time to troubleshoot the issue, but to no avail. Any ideas? I am afraid I take it to the dealer and they are going to charge me an arm and a leg to just turn it back on...

I have a 2015 RX with Nav. I randomly started having issues a couple weeks ago with the Bluetooth on my car connecting to my phone. Sometimes it can take up to 15 minutes to finally connect, other times it just doesn't connect and I get the error "Bluetooth module is not connected. Please contact your dealer." Has anyone had any luck with a resolution?
2013 RX450h, bought new.
I've been having problems with BT dropping for several years. Dealer's suggestions are ~$4,000 replacement or ("we could try") a ~$1,500 rebuild. I haven't wanted to invest that much in a 12+ year old car.
One place it sometimes drops is when I drive away from the house so the phone is switching from WiFi to cellular signal. The drop happens in other locations. Phone is a relatively new Samsung Galaxy (Android), and is fully updated.
I have tried the suggested removal and re-setup of BT connections on both phone and car with no real success.
I'll post if I get any new info.

Lexus Dealers treat “Bluetooth module not connecting” like it’s a gold mine. Instead of trying to find out why it’s not connecting they recommend a new $4.5K radio replacement. My RX350 is 10 years old! My radio, CD player, GPS works just fine! Just the damn Bluetooth connection is broken! I elected to buy a $25 FM Bluetooth transmitter and plug it into my cigarette lighter. Problem fixed! Phone calls has some statics but I’m working on it. Very disappointed with these greedy Lexus dealers.
2010 RX350 BT is fine, but I've been using a Scosche BT/FM transmitter in my Tundra for several years to connect iPhone to radio. Works quite well. I I also piggyback on the Wife's $4/mo subscription to Sirius after purchasing her used RX.

Follow-up: I went to the dealership a few days ago for some minor service and asked again about the BT problem. Short answer is the $4.5k replacement. No software updates pending, etc. The advisor said that replacing the BT module can only be done as part of replacing the entire system.

The original owners of the RX350 that my wife recently purchased paid a whopping $4,500 to fix a timing cover leak. I guess Lexus figures a portion of their customers won't be offended enough to buy a different brand next time. Upon selling the RX350 to my wife they went directly to Lexus and purchased a new one, including a several thousand dollar maintenance contract. So...
