We own a 2012 RX 350. My wife has an Android 7.0 cell which was paired with the Lexus Bluetooth and worked fine until the phone software was updated. Now the phone Bluetooth will not pair with the car. I am was able to pair my iPhone with the Lexus. I was also able to pair the Android with my 2012 KIA after the Android software update. Thus, it appears that the Lexus Bluetooth is not able to recognize the Android after the update for some reason. Anybody else had this problem? I have tried a bunch of fixes - rebooting - deleting cache - nothing has worked.
Do you have a second phone? Pair it up, if it works then your wife's cell is the issue not the Lexus, and then go to your phone provider and get a fix/replacement. Process of elimination.

Probably when Phone software is updated BT driver was updated too causing the problem. Did you Google about this? iOS is closed OS vs. Android OS is open OS. Our family only use iPhone for that reason.
I have pretty much eliminated the problem being with the Android except for the update having caused the inability of the Lexus to see the phone. The Android synced just fine before the update. The updated Android will still sync with my KIA Bluetooth.
"Probably when Phone software is updated BT driver was updated too causing the problem. Did you Google about this? iOS is closed OS vs. Android OS is open OS. I did have Android tech support take control of my phone and try to sync with the Lexus. No luck. There is something in the Lexus Bluetooth program that does not enable it to see the updated Android.

Usually newer driver is downward compatible but it is not always 100% so. We have several different vehicle in the family. Lately ther ais barrage of software updates due to newlt foud security issues. No problems here with iPhones or cellular enabled iPAD.

Did you delete the phone from the car and try to re-pair? Not sure if that's what you mean by deleting cache.
The Lexus Bluetooth allows changes to the system name, default was CAR MULTIMEDIA and a PIN code
which was likely "1111" or 1212". If you have changed them to something admittedly more useful such as
"Mom's Lexus RX" try resetting the car to the default settings. Delete all phones including the iPhone that
works, delete everything from the Android phone that pairs while in the car such as FitBits or watches.
Now try the pairing again...
