Default Galaxy S6

Hi everybody! Got tired of the small iphone 5s I have and decided to go with a totally different phone. So I went with the galaxy S6. Is this phone compatible with the Bluetooth on my RX? I mean being able to talk through the vehicles system like I can now?

thanks

My wife and I have S5s and they work fine in our 2014 RX. I wish it was easier to switch back and forth between the two phones but the selected phone works fine for calls.

Good news! Going from the Iphone where you could not automatically respond to a text message you will now with the Android. There are 15 presets reply's but you can personalize them.

The Bluetooth implementation on the S6 works fine. On my 2013 I not only make and receive phone calls, but I get texts and emails. I can go back through the recent texts and emails and have them read again also.

On the negative side, with my previous Windows Phone I could respond to texts with any words I wanted to say, however with the S6 implementation I only have a list of canned replies.

I have the Galaxy S5 and it supposedly can do texts and emails, but I have not been successful setting it up. Is there detail instructions somewhere how to set it up? (Phone calls and music from my phone work just fine.)]

I didn't do anything special. I just paired the phone to the vehicle and the rest took care of itself.

Thought I would tag on to this thread. Have a Galaxy S4 which I will be upgrading in a couple of months. Issue is that in the last month or so, my phone will connect, then disconnect, audio connect, disconnect, etc. I have the upgraded audio system (not ML) but no nav. anyone have any ideas or the same issue?

This is an on going issue with Android phones on Lexus vehicles. It likely unpairs when it trys to sync to many text messages to the car.
