corradoMR2, thanks, finally picked up the Lexus I wanted and figured I came to the right place for answers and help with it.

No big deal I guess, especially considering I'm in the place temporarily, moving to a house soon where they have standard garages rather than this dinky thing. For now I think I'll put one of those kid floating tubes on the garage so it acts as a bumper. Same thing I've done for the doors.

This is a real shame and I hope that in the 2016 this exists. The feature exists on the 2014+ Toyota Highlander. They think enough to give you the ability to fold the mirrors for garage and tight space entry. However no way to program the lift gate height. (

Default RX 350 automatic rear door height adjust

New owner of a 2015 RX. Wonderful car, but auto rear door comes up too high for my garage. Does the 2015 RX automatic rear door have a height adjustment? Many Youtube vids show how to do this, but show the door stops in the middle when fob activated. Mine just reverses, and will not stop. Cant adjust anything, and no settings from dash seem to control height. I've seen videos for 2014 RX and 2016 RX. Is it possible Lexus took this feature out for a single model year? Makes no sense...

Anybody know if height adjustment is possible on 2015 RX, and do you have a hack?

Liftgate height adjustments did not come to the RX until the 2016 redesign.

Default Liftgate Height adjustment

Does the 2010 RX 350 have a liftgate height adjustment? I have tried a few times watching video's but it is not working, So either the 2010 does not have the adjustment or I'm doing something wrong possibly it has a malfunction.

The 2010 does not have a hatchback height adjustment. None of the 3rd gen RXs have it. That is plainly stated on the post before yours.
It only appeared on the gen 4 - 2016+ models.
So there is nothing wrong with your RX.

Well I did a search on this site first and nothing came up so maybe I did the search wrong maybe I should have searched hatchback instead of liftgate? But if I would have seen this I would not have posted anything but thanks for your reply.

(New member and first post)

After much searching this thread has convinced (and verified my suspicion) that you cannot alter the rear hatch height on a 2013 RX. It simply wasn't an option.

However I'm wondering if different struts might accomplish the same reduction/limit in height? My issue is with the hatch and carrying a canoe/kayak on top. It's really close to not hitting so just a little less opening would do. The glove box switch to manual has saved the day, with this new to me car, but it would be nice to have the best of both worlds.

It would be a cheap test, but wondering the negatives, or if someone knew if this was a big no-no?
