Default Wife having issue with 2014 RX view driver's side window

My wife having issue with 2014 RX view out of driver's side window. She's saying the driver's side mirror is blocking her lateral view.

She's short at 4' 10" and said she does not have the same issue with our 2011 Acura MDX. I am having a hard time understanding this.

Anyone else out there having same issue. I've suggested adjusting seat but she insists issue still remains.

If anyone can provide some feedback if they having same issue with RX and any suggestions.

Thanks.

If you've tried all of the infinite number of seat positions and adjustments, you could be out of luck. My wife is 5'2" and seems okay after shifting the seat to her liking. Have you spoken to your Lexus dealership? Perhaps this is something they or corporate have seen before and have a solution. Changes done outside of Lexus might endanger safety or the warrantee?? Good luck, perhaps someone here has solved this annoyance.

My wife is 5' and has never mentioned any problems, I do notice she sits up pretty high and kinda close.

The problem with that is I cannot reach the gas/brake pedals then.
I'm short 5'4" too (but shorter in the legs than my upper torso).

I find that it IS more difficult to see around our RX450h than our previous Camry.
After driving it 4 times, I still have trouble getting it parked properly in the garage ...
even with a red flashlight on the workbench to line up the windshield wipper base with.

However, I DID get it parked perfectly in the parking spot at the PD (we volunteer there) this morning while hubby was crooked over the line yesterday. LOL

Hubby Websailor was saying the other day that the car is taller than I am so he can't see where I am when I get out at the store.

The RX does have large mirrors so I can see how this could be a problem for shorter folks.

If all seating positions have been exhausted (height in particular), the only option is to add a cushion or an adult booster seat of some sorts. If her forward view is obstructed by the mirror, please consider her (passengers, and other drivers) safety first regardless of how the booster seat may appear or sound. Check amazon.com, there are a few available for around $20. Good luck

My wife drives an MDX now and does not have an issue. I am trying to understand why the RX is so much different than the MDX for her?

Is it just seat position of MDX compared to RX?

Maybe you missed it in my previous post. The RX mirrors are LARGE, especially compared to the MDX. See the visibility window from someone whose head is the height of the headrest for the RX vs the MDX's as depicted in the red circle. That's someone about 5'6" or so. At 4'10", her sight is certainly obstructed by the RX's mirror. You see the big difference below.

Well, you got the better car now
