Default How do I ...? Help needed

Hi,

I searched the forums but did not find any info on this: is there a setting in the menu to leave the radio ON when turnining ignition OFF.

I can do this by shutting off the engine when shifter is in N position, then moving shifter to P leaves radio ON unless I press "start/stop" again;

but a lot of times I park the RX and just shift to P, shut the engine off, and my radio goes off too...
I'd like to have it ON after shutting engine down until I open the door (some other car makers have it set like that)

Thanks for your help.

I have the same question too. Now I just press start/stop to shut off engine, then press start/stop once more to turn on radio.. look for better way too.

Not an option with the RX. Not sure why.

I think this has been covered here before because I just recently read about it and had no clue before.

With our '09 Camry Hybrid, once you're stopped and lined up in the chosen parking spot, WHILE STILL IN DRIVE and foot on the brake, push the button to shut off the engine. Then, slide the shift lever up to PARK. The radio should stay on.

It's VERY odd for me to shut down an engine while still in DRIVE. I almost feel like I'm breaking a hard and fast rule that's been ingrained in me since I first started driving 47 years ago!

shutting the engine off will cause the seat to go back, then when pushing start/stop once more will cause the seat to move forward...
my "method" of leaving tranny in N leaves accessories ON, and the seat does not move back/foreward...but I have to remeber NOT to shift into P before shutting engione down.

Like cars of the past, you still have 'accessory' operation. It's just different with the push button starting. Shut down in the normal manner then with your foot 'off' the brake, push the start button again and you'll be in accessory operation for radio and such. At least that's the way my 2010 works.

Right-I just don't "like" the seat moving back after shutting everything down, and then forward after you push button again w/o foor on the brake pedal

On my RX450h my seat activates only after I buckle the seat belt independent of the Start Button.

on my 350 seat activate either if you buckle-up or if you press start button...

It's the way it's designed and works acceptably for the masses. If every one's wishes were considered, you'd have a bunch of crazy stuff just for me . Truthfully tho, it's pretty good and what we have. You'll just have to get along as it is.
