I read some stuff about programming keys or some other features that could be done only at the dealer. I wanted any RX owners to chime in on this so i dont have to make a return trip.

 

The only programing I had done on my 2010 was on the rear hatch. I had it to motor up and unlock all of the doors with one(or two) press on the rectangular button on the door. Congratulations on the new ride. I got my 2013 two weeks ago and it is a great ride.

 

Get the 3 M clear bra. I drove 1300 miles and had three nicks on the hood

 

Should add don't use Lexus dealer. 3M website will give you local installers. Half the price of dealer. My full job was $750

 

Congrats LextacyGS4. Here is a quick link to the LPS for 2013. You have 12 months to make up your mind so there's no rush to do anything. It's a one shot deal. After that it'll cost you. I'd advise taking your RX home and playing with the settings that you can change and then decide if you want the dealer to reprogram the ones you can't after living with them for a while.

Like mac12, the only thing I asked was to have the tail gate open with a two second press of the button on the back. It wasn't on the list.

Ok I just didnt get it from the dealer so I dont want to visit the dealer later but I guess that one free visit is valid at any dealership.

had it delivered to my home late last night but i didnt have time to play with it yet. Ill get to it tonight with the camera.

check the front door panels right where you open the door and see if the gap aligns...mine is poorly fitted with uneven gaps and the dealer has not done anything to it..they look worse than a toyota in my opinion..

 

Got a question. So the rear power door, how do i use it. Its simple enough to close button to close it and also under the steering wheel to open but what about the button on the door itself that i press from the outside to open it. Each time i do i wait for it to start opening but it doesnt. I have to pull it up myself.

Lextacy - great looking car! I like the interior colour as it is a nice change from black. I just purchased a Claret Mica F Sport where you could have any leather colour you wanted as long as it was black. I am not too sure if it is too late but typically, the car i buy is not the one I get to test drive. I always take the purchased car out for a spin to make sure there are no surprises or issues.

 

First '13 I have seen without the 19 inch wheels;;;I thought for a second it was a '12...I guess no changes to 18's..
