Has anyone figured out a way to protect the door thresholds from getting scuffed up from entering and exiting the vehicle? The RX I just traded had scuffed thresholds that could not be cleaned or renewed and my new RX will soon look the same.
are you talking about the bottom of the door panels? As far as I know, there is no actual way to apply some sort of product to prevent scratches and scuff marks there.
However, some people say that using a magic eraser will remove light scratches
I dont think that would be very tasteful either...
a clear bra is near invisible but putting it on interiors doors probably wont be lol
You really shouldn't see a clear bra except for the edges. You can't see mine on tungsten pearl.
I don't think you would notice the film on the sill area but will see the edges which will collect dirt if not keptclean.I don't think it would hold up,though.
I agree a clear bra is the way to go to protect against rock chips, in fact I have them installed on my C and my RX. I specifically went to a pretty famous installer in cali that actually wraps the edges of the body panels so that you cant even see the edge of the film.
I did not know you were referring to the sill, which could easily be done to the metal part. I was referring to the plastic portions of the door, like where the fold out pocket is. I feel like that area gets the most scuffs

I just had the whole front bumper cover done and didn't do the hood or side fenders because of the noticeable edges.I didn't want to do the whole hood.
No doubt the bottom of a door panel with clear bra would be ugly.I remember a few posts on that.
Thanks to all who tried to help but the area I am concerned about is the plastic threshold that bridges the area or seam between the carpet and plate that say "LEXUS.
