Default Flat key question

Does the flat wallet key come standard with the 2013 RX350? I see it in the 2013 manual but all I received were two remote starter remotes. Can this be purchased?

Default Yes, but manual states you need the flat key to start

the car should the main remote battery become depleted.

There is a small button on the side and upon pressing that the white bottom portion on the key fob which has a tiny ring comes out with a key. This key can be used to lock your glove box to store any valuables when giving out the car to valet parking etc

My car salesman said that even though the key fob battery dies you can still use it to start the car by placing the remote key next to the start button and pressing it and it should start the car and you don't actually have to use the key. I saw a youtube video on that but can't seem to locate it right now...

^^ I don't think the question is about the manual key ... but, rather does the credit card sized electronic wallet key come standard. The answer is no, it is not standard. Here is the version for 2013:

It might be standard with the luxury package, I don't know all of the package config's for 2013.

As UCSB says, the true "flat key" that is the size of a credit card and was standard on previous models of RX such as my 2006 RX400h, is no longer standardly provided with a new 2013 for example. You used to get three keys, two what you'd consider normal keys with all their remote buttons that could both open the doors and start the car, and a single key with no remote buttons, but was a flat (and fat) credit-card sized piece of plastic with a "flat key" within it that could be removed and inserted into the car door AND ignition to unlock and start your truck. My 2013 (with luxury pkg) only came with two electronic "keys" that have the ability to remove a physical key that only unlocks the door -- you still need the electronic part to actually start the truck. If you need something like the old credit card version that has both the physical key for the door and the infamous chip in the rest of the credit card plastic carrier that your ignition needs to start, I suggest you check with Lexus Parts -- that is your only alternative -- it's no longer standard with the new car purchase.
