I read in the manual that the first service at 5k miles or 6 months is free as well as the second at 10k miles or 12 months. Is there a 1k mile check up? I thought I remember Lexus used to have a free 1k mile check up where they would adjust certain dealer only serviceable settings and check nuts and bolts and such. It seems like they're doing away with that and going with the first service being at 5k miles. Can someone confirm or did I miss this in the manual?

you're right about the 5,000 and the 10,000 scheduled maintenance.
There's no 1,000 nor 3,000 miles check,
however, you can always bring your RX to the dealer if you need help with adjustments from bluetooth settings to parking sensors.

My recollection in 2010 was that you could bring it in within 30 days to have any factory settings changed by the dealer if you wanted a different setting. Not sure if that is the case now per what is shown in the service specified in the manual.
