kartah, I haven't noticed that between a '10 and a '12 450h I had. Perhaps it's yours or your friend's that has the problem. Or the mechanism is different between those two cars or how they were assembled at the factory.
Dun, I wouldn't really call it a "problem" for either car. They are simply different and I noticed it because as I was closing my friend's RX rear hatch I was being more careful than I needed to be and realized that his responds differently compared to mine. They both work, but that's just the difference I noticed.
It warmed up here to 10-15C last few weeks so I was interested what milage I would get in the city only. I am averaging 7.4 liters/ 100 Km or 31.7 mpg US. I have to get my first oil change as I have about 8000Km on it. I did bump up the tire pressure to 35 cold from 32 and that did help. Using 87 octane gas here.
One thing I have noticed is that I can now drive long stretches without the engine kicking on that I could not when it is cold out. We dont really have freeways here so the red lights kill you when you have to restart.
