This is a common question I hear from my customers with navigation on their Lexus vehicles. So common in fact, that I did a short instructional how-to video on this. The vehicle demonstrated was a 2014 Lexus ES 350, but it is similar to that of the 2010 Lexus RX 350 or 450h models with navigation. Hope this helps.

 

2012 RX 350 Click "Menu" button, Then, "Set up"...Then, "General" Then, "Auto Screen Change".. Select "Off" then "Save" and the display will stay where you want it to. )

 

Actually, even with the Auto Screen Change mode to "off", my Nav screen automatically goes to map view after I use my phone (bluetooth). Any idea how to fix this?

Hit the 'menu' button and then drill down to what ever you would like to see.

Just keep the focus on the road ahead and surroundings

to go back to map, just press "map voice"

 

or press the radio button
there is also a setting of "go back" or something like that somewhere in the menu. if you always find the map view coming up, then you need to change that setting. I don't know what that setting is off the top of my head, though.

 

I assume you are referring to "Auto Screen Change" in General settings which can be turned off so that the system does not revert back to the map screen and so it stays on the audio screen.

 

I see no possibility to hide the map in the right split screen !? (arrow/picture, below) as an an example:

left side: AUDIO
right side: CAR INFO (Battery Infos)
bottom: Ventilation, air conditioning

In any case, I would like to choose/select myself what i want on the right side of the screen ...

 

How do I change the default screen on the nav system of my 2012 Lexus RX- 350 It keeps switching to maps when I want it to stay on media. Not sure how this happened; Ive had the car for sometime and this is a new issue.

 

Every time I use the menu to dial a call, the map comes on and I have to manually turn it off. Since most of my driving is in town, I don't need the map. Is there a way to change setting so that the map doesn't turn on when I make calls?

 

Will not stay on RADIO Display on the screen but switches in a few seconds to the MAP DISPLAY. HOW CAN I PREVENT THAT.?
