Tpms
If I install winter tires without the TPMS sensors what indication should I get? I'm assuming it will just be the light, which I can live with and not an annoying noise of some kind.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Warning light only. When I swapped my wheels (with TPMS), but before the computer was reprogrammed with the new sensor codes, that's all that happened. It would often stay off for several miles, then start blinking, eventually goes solid when it gives up looking for the sensors.

I bought a set of programmable TPMS for my winter tire/wheel combos. They are cloned to the OEM ID codes. many tire vendors carry the Sens-it or Orange electronics sensors. I purchased the Orange sensors on Amazon and the T30 Programmer directly from Orange.
These after market products are much less expensive that OEM or dealer reprogramming. Go this route and keep this important safety equipment functioning.

You could always do a DIY fix that the guys on the IS forums use. It's more suited for aftermarket wheels that aren't TPMS compatible. Hope this helps.
