Dirty RXs ;)

NJ must have received a huge brunt of all the storms this year. Picked up my IS from the dealer (all shiny and clean) yesterday morning and brought it home. It is now all covered with salt and brownish stuff. My RX is in the garage all white and dirty (its supposed to be dark blue). I give up.

Herb, my 450h stayed relatively clean sitting at home It wasn't worth the trek to work even with a two hour delay. It took a few hours to clear the ice skating rink, I mean driveway The plows didn't get to my street until 11 am. I guess I should feel lucky though. Some towns didn't even bother.
I've been averaging a wash every other week this winter Last week was the worst ever. The amount of dirt was ferocious. Temps are supposed to be around 40 Sunday I'll definitely be out there cleaning up after the next storm on Saturday

You are RIGHT 100% January had 16 days with snow and February will be 3 with tomorrows report. I measure rain and snow (Must melt snow for rain equivalent) for CoCoRaHs www.cocorahs.org and also Skywarn for National Weather Service.

Had the snow and cold a week or 2 ago, now going through a Chinook in Calgary. Going form -28 degrees to +6 degrees (EDIT: Celsius) in just over a day turns icy roads into sandy muck...

Well, my 450h got a belly wash yesterday. It started as snow and sleet but wound up being more of a mist throughout the day. For a while it was freezing on the side view mirrors. Now I have dirt streaks on the sides and filthy windows from driving on the highway. Time to go out and make him all clean until the next storm.

I was at a funeral yesterday and when I came out to leave the Blue Birds of Happiness had done their thing all over my RX. It looked like I had a polka dot car. I should have taken pictures, just washed it the day before. I had to run home and wash it again, that stuff can stain a white car if left on too long. That is about the extent of dirt that we deal with out here in the west. No snow stories, sorry.

MEP, that sucks. I hate when that happens and it's usually right after a wash. Nothing worse than the aerial assaults Speaking of which I had to avoid these guys tonight driving home. I came across them just as they started to cross the road. Not your garden variety of geese. They are beautiful.

Jim, I drag my 100' hose in and out of the back porch this time of year. Only thing frozen was the snow. It's very icy from the rain and melting. Fell a few times I should have put on the cleats. I have a feeling it wouldn't have helped me anyway. It's that bad. Might be another story by next weekend. It's supposed to be exceptionally warm this week, in the 40s and 50s, maybe even 60 by Friday I did see maybe another snow storm by next Monday though

Anita your RX is looking fine.
All the RXs I see here in Honolulu are gorgeously clean. All the cars are clean here. It is making me miss my RX, but being in the wonderful weather of Honolulu doesn't make me miss winter in Toronto.
