I bought a Monroe set for my CDN built 2009. The description lists the vehicle as either US or Japan built. If your VIN starts with a 2T2HK , it is CDN JT2 is Japan. Got them from from Rock Auto part # TS901874. Work fine, install can be done in 15 minutes ***However be sure to support the rear door and inspect the ball pivot joints, both upper and lower. The Monroe Units did not include the bolt on door bracket. They just snap on and off with the spring release. The lower "Ball JOINT" (UPPER POSITION WITH DOOR OPEN****had built up some rust likely due to water draining down inside the door during snow and rain. I polished the ball and greased the socket. It would make sense that hese ***** when rusty can develop rough edges which could cause a door to bind once a new tighter fitting lift socket on a new lift strut is installed. Lesson learned , polish and lube your ball joints folks.

Default Software change

I had a 2011 RX450h. I asked the dealer to enable the rear hatch button to "power up" the liftgate. They did it by changing some software settings. I now have a 2012 RX450h and it is behaving just like you described--The button only unlocks the rear hatch but does not activate the "power up" behavior. Things to note as others have: My remote power opens the hatch AND the dash button (left side next to gas lid button also opens the hatch. (This might be an option for your wife instead of the remote.)

Default Cannot find the setting

I hooked it up to Techstream and found the setting to change. It is contained under the menu setting for "PSD and PBD Operation".

Works like a dream.
Hello,
Please can you specify the exact setting because I cannot find such and I am really confused?
My PBD menu looks like this in the pic, could you tell what is wrong or at least if your menu looks the same.

vanchu - welcome to CL. However please note the age of any posts in which you try to get a response as those over a few years old are very unlikely to receive any reply. If you click on their name and select find other posts by ----- you can see when they were last active here on CL.

PLamarine has not posted on CL since 2018. In one of their last posts in 2018 they wrote the following: When I bought my Certified Pre-Owned GX 460 last June, I traded in a 2017 RX350 I had bought. - So it appears they traded in the 2010 for a 2017 RX but did not like it and traded it in a year later for a GX.

Maybe another member can offer assistance with your situation.
