Pardon my ignorance, but if the engine is running and driver walks away about 50 feet with the smart key, isn't the 2010 RX350 suppose to shut down, close all windows and lock doors automatically? Or am i dreaming? Also i can open all windows with smart key by holding "unlock" for over 3 seconds. Is there a way to close them? Or do i have to do all the work myself?
If my memory is correct, someone said that the engine will keep running but the thieves won't have the chance of driving it away too far. I forgot it... check this if you get time. I got lots of Q out there
It will not auto shut down and lock... someone could dtrive it away, they'd just never be able to re-start it once they turn it off.
No auto close on the windows... but you should be able to stick the metal key into the door and twist it and hold to close i think? i don't remember exactly if that's on our lexus or our bmw

I must have the dumbest smart key...the windows don't go down when holding the unlock button for even 6 seconds. Besides making sure the window lock button is not activated, anything else I need to check? THanks. Sorry for if bit off topic.

Mine wasn't programmed to do so. I got it set up in my 1st visit to Lexus dealer. Some dealers do provide the check-list and remind you to bring it back in your first visit. That check-list contains all the dealer-only options.
Btw, many dealers do configure this feature on Day 1.
Ahhh, finally got to that section of the manual. For some reason I thought the window down feature was default, but the manual says otherwise. I guess that's something to bring up at the 1000 mile visit. Thanks. I don't remember the checklist, then again, I'm always in shock when I spend that much in a day.
