Help: doors auto lock when smart-key in car

Default Help: doors auto lock when smart-key in car

My car is RX350 - 2011 AWD
I have a problem: when car stop, off engine, the smart key inside the car or outside the car, all door auto lock. After doors lock by this way, i only unlock by press unlock on the smart-key, i open the door but after more 20 seconds, doors auto lock again.
Do you see this problem same me, please help me

A couple of questions, is anyone in car when this happens? Do you have both key fobs "in range" of car when this is going on?

when this happens, nobody in car or I still in car , and this happens many times, but sometimes it don't happens. I have 2 keys,when the doors auto look with one key inside car, I have to using the second key to open doors (only open by press open in the key)

If I understand you correctly you have one key on your person and one key in the car. Is that correct? If so, you will always have the issue of not being able to correctly lock the doors as the car senses a key inside. If it did lock, you unlock in the normal manner by placing your fingers inside the drivers or passengers handle and pull. The door will unlock just as if the only key fob was in your pocket.

There is no reason to leave a key in the car as it can always unlock for anyone trying to open it.

There is no reason to leave a key in the car as it can always unlock for anyone trying to open it. ,<---- This is my problem . I always have only key on body (not one key in car and one key with me), but when I outside car (one time I still sit in car) and the key still in car, sometimes doors auto lock

ngcom, welcome to CL. Your English is pretty good. The RX will auto lock if the doors are unlocked with the key fob or door sensor but not opened in 30 seconds. It shouldn't happen when you are inside the vehicle because it senses the key is present. You may want to have your RX checked by the dealer. Good luck.

if the battery is low on the key fob.. it will sense no key and act as if there was no key present... for anti-theift, the car will autolock. replace the battery and see if things change
