Building a list of items for when replacing spark plugs and wondering if MAF sensor is considered to be a wear and tear replacement item on these cars ? Thanks https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...t=5128&jsn=577
Thanks Phil haven't looked at Lexus schedule but in cold weather area here folks are proactive about snow tires and pre-winter service on older vehicles, makes for safer trips up to the ski hill.
Lots of fake Denso sensors being sold online these days. Make certain you purchase a genuine one if you decide to replace yours. You may want to try cleaning it first with CRC mass air flow sensor cleaning spray.

Thanks RX, hadn't thought about counterfeit parts possibility from Rock but looking around I see their Denso MAF price is very close to just buying MAF from Toyota parts store online; Toyota MAF sensor part # 2204-31020 used in 2015 RX if I decide to swap it out.
My MAF on my 2015 RX350 with just over 190k miles is still working just fine so I would not replace an MAF sensor unless your are getting trouble codes for it.
if you don't use an oiled filter you might clean the MAF sensor every few years, if that. I cleaned the one in my 4runner with almost 175k miles for the first time a couple years ago. made no difference at all but I dont use oiled filters. the RX MAF sensor is a PIA to get to and I didn't bother. sure you can look at it as preventative maintenance but those sensors are not really wear items. the PCV valve is another one. replaced my PCV in the 4runner after 170k miles. still sounded brand new. noticed no difference with the new one. so I didn't even both replacing the one on the RX that has only 110k miles on it
