Is there such a thing as a Lexus Technical Training Manual for the RX or any Lexus/Toyota for that matter? I'm looking for something that a service advisor might read or even possibly a tech in order to understand the cars different functions better. Something like this is what I refer. I should add that there surely must be something, it just seems to be very closely guarded info.
Each company has training material for their employees and techs which is considered proprietary and or internal use only.
Service manuals are published and shared through TIS. Long time back the back physical volumes were published but now I think everything is a soft copy. [Grey market may have printed PDF ... which will always suffer from missing edits etc].
My last experience with Lexus intro at time of sale, was meeting/appointment with product specialist for the make/model ... which I think one can read through the owner's manual, but the person was/is dedicated to help you make/store settings.
i think the term "enthusiast" does not exist for Lexus and every one is "user" (owner).

Service writer ... I don't value them much. They are there to take input and fill out the forms for legal and billing. When I used to visit them, I felt more informed and had to state ... Please ask the tech ...
Tech: Behind the scene, I am sure there are master techs and specialists, but their pay grade does not allow them to handle general service. They still may want to get their nails dirty but I am sure they have grunts working under their supervision. They also have district wide specialist .. sort of mobile .. who visits different dealerships to help them out.

Get a regular Lexus Electronic Service Manual (ESM). I ordered one on eBay for my wife's 2015 RX350 several years ago. It came on a CD. Cost me about $75 and has proven to be well worth the money.

I'm not finding that? I do see the Toyota TIS Techstream for sale on Ebay. Ebay copies of the BMW TIS is what most of the BMW crowd does to get factory instructions, basically it is not only a TIS, but also has factory OBD diagnostics built in.
Workshop manuals are great for repairs and service. Way above Chilton or similar. They have step by step procedures and excellent diagrams with specified torques and notes regarding must replace items. I think * (disclaimer) have seen folks attach images of some of the pages. Some say the soft copy is available on rock auto.
My impression is you are looking beyond the "workshop manual" and training manual which would be class material for techs under training, which gives them insight into the engine and vehicle.

I'm looking for both. Preferably exactly what Toyota Techs use.
Until the manuals went online sometime in the early 2000's some of the printed dealer manuals had a section called Principles of Operation in for example the Body Electrical Manual where it went into detail describing circuit operation, there was a general repair/body electrical and wiring diagram manuals we would use.
After the move to online we'd just print the pages we needed for whatever the repair was, I haven't looked but Techstream probably has some version of principles of operation a person could print off if they wanted to spend the money for a subscription.
I've never seen a CD being used for repair info at a Toyota dealer but they usually have an old micro fiche hidden somewhere.
The BMW link I posted above is a reference to the over all system. It is super beneficial when you are fixing a complex problem like your HID lights are not swiveling. You need to know exactly what ECU's are on the bus all the way over to the light itself. w/o knowing this information, all you have is a code to go on, which of course is useful, but I like to understand the complete system and how it works from a high level. I wish something like this was out for our cars, but never seen one. I have no idea what systems interact with our headlights for example. I can guess, but don't know for certain.
I ordered mine on eBay in March 2020. The CD case has the Lexus script and logo on the front along with "ESM Electronic Service Manual". At the bottom it says "Copyright 2018 Lexus Division of Toyota Motor Corporation, North America Inc." The label on the CD itself has that same Lexus script and logo and says "Electronic Service Manual, Lexus RX350 2015." It must be run in Internet Explorer, not Microsoft Edge.
My notes say that it was shipped to me by Top Tech Data Sales in Orlando, FL.
