backup camera stopped working
is there a re-boot function? I looked everywhere in the owner's manual, and in the navigation system manual, and I don't see anything about re-setting the whole thing. is there a separate fuse for the camera itself? everything electric works on the vehicle. everything else on my 2007 rx350 also works quite well, except, out of the blue, the backup screen turned uniformly gray and only some words giving a warning about being careful when backing up appear on the otherwise gray screen. any thoughts would be appreciated. I've googled everything I can think of regarding this, and nothing helpful popped up.

I am following at my gfs 08 is having camera issues as well. Hers was a black screen with lines though. I took the trunks cover off and blew out all the connections and pigtails with canned air. I did hear one of them snap into place before I did that though. And I checked to see if all the wires were good and still pinned.
Yours sounds out out like either a fuse or the camera itself. Sorry I'm no help! Had no idea where to find the fuse location or diagram for it.

your description of the screen indicates that reverse is being selected and the display switched to the camera video, but You are missing the video from the camera. I would check the camera/and connections.

Corrosion may get inside & break these cameras, happened to us as well. We too had some colourful lines on a black background, and nothing else. As the OEM camera is hilariously expensive, we replaced it with an aftermarket camera, and I'd say the image quality is at least on par, if not better than the OEM camera on my LS600h.

thanks to all. my backup light work fine, as do all other lights [except passenger rear side marker which is burned out and seems impossible to get to. i'll try to take off the tailgate cover and access the camera wiring. screen is black, not gray, and the writing says something about looking carefully. this is written on the black screen.
