Question RX330 Camera - Another way to view?

The rear camera is a great feature!
Has anyone found a way to see the rear camera view without putting the transmission in reverse?
I've got to believe there's some other sequence of buttons to do it... they can't expect a service technician to test it only if the car is in gear.

I think all of us here, need this info to just get a better view (close up) of the hot chick in the car behind us without looking like we are going to back into her!

I speak only the truth in these matters......

When I was in the U.S. briefly, I tested the RX330 and asked about the feature. I am not sure if the feature is activated by computer software or if there is a wire that when touched will move to camera mode.

Lexguynj: yea I'd like that too on mine, course I'd never think of using it for the reason you suggest!

that would be an unnecessary distraction while driving.

Hey Parula,

Great minds think alike. What else would you use it for other than checking out the chicks?

The camera is triggered by the + lead from the reverse lights. Hook up a switch to the camera that allows you to toggle between 12 volts and consider getting help for your addiction.

You can do it through the service menus.

See my post here.

Just remember its a wide angle view, and you're not going to see any details of the chicks you are trying to check out. It's also a good way to get motion sickness. The maneuver is fairly tricky and extremely unsafe since it takes both hands and you'll have to steer with your knee while taking your eyes off the road.
