Default 07 RX350 Clock Issue

Hello, I recently purchased a 2007 RX350 and the clock it stuck at 6:00. It never changes other than flashing sometimes after start up. I have gone into the info section and attempted to adjust it but it won't change. Am I missing something here or should I be attempting to adjust it differently? I appreciate any help I could get on this. Thanks!

You must be doing something wrong, I also recently purchased an 07 350, and the clock is fine. It is a slightly fiddley system, but easy enough to change the clock. Get someobe else to cast their eye over it, fresh pair of eyes maybe...

That's kind of my point by posting this. To maybe have some others input. How did you change your clock?

Thanks!

Do you have the auto time zone and auto clock adjust on? If so, turn those off and see if a manual change will work. If that does not work, the digit display maybe going bad and may need a swap.

Yes, and no. I have tried every possible combination of on/off with the time zone and auto adjust. The clock did change from 6:00 to 7:00 when I switched the daylight savings time adjust on and off. It reads like this 6 00 normally but when I attempt to set it, it then reads like this 6:00 with the colon between the h:mm. It will never change though, to say 6:01 or anything. I sat there for 10 minutes waiting and nothing. So, now to determine if the problem is in the nav unit or the actual clock readout. It did change from 6 to 7 so it seems like the display is working fine, it's just the communication between the nav unit and the clock that doesn't appear to be working properly.

Thanks for your help!

like one of the others mentioned; its probably the clock display itself going bad? is yours with or w out navigation? if its w nav; normally the clock is always accurate as its set by gps; but if if it wont change at all then yea its most likely the clock mechanism itself has gone bad.

Ah, I was worried you were headed down this path. Unfortunately unlike Toyota's this is a two part system as you noticed. I do believe also that your display is probably ok but I still scratch my head on why it has to be controlled by the touchscreen.

Maybe try a full power discharge by disconnecting the battery for at least and hour. If that doesn't work the display is probably the next cheapest thing to try, a few used on ebay or similiar.

I set the clock in our rx w/ the gps off, so I can set the clock a couple minutes ahead.
