Default parking Brake warning Light

anyone know why my parking break warning light remains on after the parking break ia released.

Check and make sure that the brake master cylinder is not low on fluid.

Had that happen with my RX350.

The sensor switch that is mounted on the pedal assembly had come loose, rotated, and was not being pushed properly. I had to go through some unpleasant disassembly of the dash to get to it. You'd think that, with just a couple of bolts, the pedal assembly would come off. But noooo.......

The switch was put back in place, well-taped in position, and everything is fine. I really don't want to take the dash apart again and you will likely find the same.

Thanks, its a 2006 Lexus RX 330. I cant see where the switch is located even with the help of lights and mirrors. The break fluid was ok.
