Does anyone know what kind of screw goes into the Key case? I lost mine.
Thanks
Might try the dealer, hopefully offer one for free or minimal cost, drug store for eye glass repair kits or even radio shack?
Lost one in the carpeting a while ago when replacing batteries, didn't think of using a plastic baggie
My case broke a few weeks ago and I taped it back together. I was on a trip this weekend, 500 miles from home and the tape wore through. I lost the remote part from the case, when I went for breakfast. Of course, the car won't start when the remote is separated from the key. I went into a panic, forgetting that I still had the Valet key in the console. While looking for the valet key, I found the remote part for my key fob. I took it in the restaurant and got some tape and put it back together. I took the car in for service this morning and got a new key, using my remote. I also had them replace the battery in my wife's key fob. I think the new key, plus the battery and the battery for my wife's fob, cost me about $75.
The moral to the story is for Adam to get an eyeglass screw and secure his case before the remote falls out and gets lost. Naturally, it will occur at the worst possible time.
