Headlights
Rx 330/2005
The typical issue I have is moisture in the headlight and HID stopped working. My is HID and AFS (dealer price is 2K !!)
Question: can I use HID only headlight assembly to replace current with AFS (of course I would change both sides). Would this create any problems? Same connectors? What about AFS indicator on dashboard?
I intend to change bulb only and see if this works, but if not, I may need to do more to fix this.
Many thanks for any ideas!

Was the HID bulbs not working or both HID and AFS?
If AFS is working, I would just replace the bulbs and seal the headlights...here's the DIY link

Didn't think of this one .... many thanks! I think AFS works as there is no indication on dashboard. Also bought bulbs from eBay ($20, Chinese stuff but I hope it works
). This is my first choice approach ..., but if unsucesfull can I change the whole headlight assembly just with HIDs? Dealer does not want to provide straight answer, so I find this a bit suspicious.

You were right, AFS works ... good news. Just waiting for the bulb to arrive and will try if works. I hope ballast is OK too as I removed moisture some time ago (hair blower - works great) and since there is no moisture, my hopes up. Will keep you posted - thanks a lot for help!
