hey my friend crashed their IS250 and i was thinking of taking his stock hid headlight's ballast thing and put it into my xenon headlight so i can use D4S bulbs instead of H11.. does it work? can someone confirm this?

Think you'll need the headlight since the bulb size is different.

It would take a lot of modification to get it to work. If you are going to use that projector, you have to fabricate it to fit it on the bracket inside the headlight. If I am not mistaken, the brackets inside the HID vs the halogen headlights are different- BY A LOT taking in consideration of the AFS "key" at the bottom of the HID projector.

It can be done, but is it worth it? NO imo. You might as well retrofit S2K's or some other better projector in your halogen headlight.

But to answer your original question: you cant use the D4S with your halogen projector.
