Any tears in the rubber? Has the car had bodywork? Were there any old stains?

No info on accidents. Doesn't look like it.
Previous stains, in the 2nd picture it seems like there might have been.
100% no tears in the rubber seal. In between the roofliner and body of the car there is plastic, so it could have accumulated and when we drve the car it moved around. so I feel as if possibly it was from the weatherstrip not sealing properly or the roof rack screws.

Car was also towed the night before, so it was on an incline.

I will look in to that, but it def seems to be from the roof, and not the spoiler.
If I had leaking on the lift gate I would def suspect the roof spoiler, but this leak seems to be more concentrated on the roof/headliner.

Did you do the roof rack delete? If so did you reseal the bolts back into the holes?

No roof rack delete. Put I did use a hose and try and determine where the leak and that did not help. Will wait until another rain storm and hope it has to do with the towing of the car and all the rain we had that night.

Will most likely look into a roof rack delete. But I don't think those bolts would go all the way thru the frame to the inside cabin.

The delete kit comes with shorter bolts and sealing clip holders for the snap in fillers. I didn't pay real close attention when I swapped everything out but there was a gasket type material under those clips. I think I am going to order the one piece weather strip to make everything even tighter. Good luck finding that leak, water leaks can be such a PITA...

Could thedrain hoses for the moon roof be broken somewhere under the headliner..? I am not sure of the routing on the rear drain holes, but maybe the rear hatch motor linkage hit one of those hoses.

What year is your RX? From what I remember, the leak is coming from the spoiler. Let me look at the TSB if I still can access the database.

From what I can remember reading from the TSB, it is either the rubber seal that goes around the tailgate and some sealing required on the top portion. That is the only source of water getting into the cabin.

And sorry I lost access to the TSB's for now. I might hit the Library to check on ALLDATA sometime.
