From: CA to WV to FL and Back to CA!

I know I have the HID lamps on the car I just bought - but am wondering if these are the "adaptive" headlights as well? (Or is that the same thing?)
The only clue I have to guess this is the case - When I start up the car they do a robotic routine and you can hear sounds and see the lights move...

Uh..hear sounds?? I dont hear any sounds from mine, just the little dance they do.

No NONadaptive still do the startup routine regardless?
(re: sound - you have to be out of the car near the lamp to hear it in my case)
