Default Adding SIRIUS Satellite

My 2007 RX350 is not SIRIUS Satellite ready and no NAV system so I'm looking to install the VAIS SoundLinQ (Model SL2S) - Sirius Audio Interface and the SIRIUS Universal SC-C1 Vehicle tuner.

Other than cable length, are there any restrictions as to where I can place these units? Seems I read in a previous post that there's some space beneath the stereo/CD unit.

I had the VAIS unit below/behind the gear shifter. It's reachable by taking off the side panels in the footwell area. I think there were three clips holding it in place. Plenty of space and easy to get to. Originally I had the cable in the middle console but moved it to the glovebox when I replaced it.

Thanks for your reply.

Was your car already equipped with the SIRIUS Tuner?

Actually it was for the iPod. Sorry, should have been more specific. The guys at VAIS are great. Give them a call and ask.

wow! I just realized that the VAIS company is located literally about 10-15 from my house. I sent them an email inquiring about them doing sales and installs locally. Hopefully I can take my 09 RX with nav down there and they can do the install.

Pretty cool *****. I used to live about 5 minutes away from them. Wish I still did so they could test out some of their products in my 450h

Good luck. I'm sure they'll have some awesome stuff for you. Even better if they do the install.
