Default Problem with sunroof

The title tells it all. I am having a problem with my sunroof. For some reason the one touch sunroof button is not working. I can only open and close the sunroof if I hold the switch. I was wondering if there is anyway to reset or reprogram the sunroof back to one touch.

Thx
Wilson

Turn on the ignition and press and hold the "Tilt" button. Keep it depressed as the roof tilts up and down and then opens and closes. Then you can release it and the automatic function will be reset.

Try reprogramming the auto function. Open the sun roof all the way and hold the button for 3 to 4 sec., then do the same when you close it. That should do the trick.

jfelbab and G are correct.

According to TSB PD004-04 (Initialization of Moon Roof):

As a result of the removal of the Short Pin, the “one–touch tilt up and down,” “one–touch slide open and close,” and “jam protection” functions of the moon roof will be inoperative due to loss of the moon roof position memory stored in the microcomputer. Therefore, initialize the moon roof by following these procedures:

1. Turn the ignition switch to the “ON” position.
2. Push and hold the moon roof switch to the “TILT UP” side or the “SLIDE–CLOSE” side until the following cycle of the moon roof operation is completed:
A. Closing
B. Fully tilt up
C. Fully tilt down
D. Fully slide open
E. Fully slide close
3. After the cycle of operation above is completed, the initialization is completed.
4. Check for proper operation of the “one–touch slide open and close” and “one–touch tilt up and down” functions by pushing the switch briefly to the “SLIDE OPEN” and “TILT UP” positions.

My RX is doing the same thing....no auto. I was about to post a thread asking if the RX had one touch for the sunroof. I'm gonna try this tonight.

I didn't even know that it had one touch. I have been struggling without it for a year now. My Envoy has it and was disappointed that the Lex was so difficult to operate.
Thanks for the reset!

Just like the window controls, the sunroof needs reset any time the battery has been disconnected or changed. All this is in the Owner's Manual.

^And one touch stops working when the battery is on the way out. That's one way to know it's time.
