The seats on Toyota/Lexus are harder than I like. I really like the perforated leather on my MBs. You could use leather conditioner, and as funny as it sounds, CrazyMPG is right, it's still new, so you'll have to let it "stretch" out over time.

Depends what you are accustomed to. It is always one of those things as ... too sooft to liking or too hard. Lexus seats; IMHO, is a good compromise, and with n way adjustment available, it is a matter of finding the right settings. Yes, take one of those MAN wallets out ... specially if it is filled to the brim.

Give it some days and soon you would love the seats. The breaking-in part has more to do with the driver then the RX.

Default Comfortable seats

I just got back from a very quick trip from Tucson to LA and back. I find the RX400h seats to be the most comfortable I have found for long drives. I'm 6'3" and weigh 200 lb and find the room and available adjustments fit me very well. I made the 8 hour trip with only one short stop for gas and relief and felt fine when I got to the destination. A bonus was that the mileage was 26.9 for the trip, much at over 80 mph.

I've noticed 2 things:

1. As mentioned above - take your George Costanza wallet outta yer pocket. Chiropractors make more $$ that way than anything

and

2. I find the seat does not travel far enough back for my legs. I often find myself feeling a bit cramped and making a lot of minor adjustments when I drive my wife's RX. Both the 05 330 and her new 350. I'm only about 5'10" but I just can't seem to figure out the most comfortable setting for my legs. I haven't had any issues with the seat cushion though. I find that part very comfortable.

Nope...no wallet. I'm used to driving a BMW with Comfort Seats. If it weren't for the BMW dealer being such a low life and BMW's current lack of any good SUV's that don't require you to have your own oil company, I would have got another.

Revive:

How do you guyz/gurls get in and out of the RX?

I've noticed some small mini- punctures in the leather seats where I get in and out..

Any tips on gettin into and out of the RX?

Observe your habbits and see what is going on?

Look for
Rings, Keys, Wallets, buttons on pants/shirts/skirts that are scratching the leather?

I'm pretty sure its my pants/jeans that are scratching the leather...

But I find it difficult to get into the RX, because I'm not very tall- 5 feet 6.5 inches

So I kinda have to get half my body in first, and then move my other half in..

Default My problem with them

is that the bottom part of the seat is to short, it doesn't extend out far enough to support your upper leg. Also the leather is not smooth which does keep you from sliding around but makes if more difficult to slide in and out of them when entering and exiting the vehicle. This also makes me wonder about their longevity due to the wear they receive when entering and exiting.

There are some running board equivalents for RX. It may be more functional than form for you.
