DefaultThe following works on my RX330.

You can sync the new key by yourself. no need for dealer, locksmith or special tool.

1. sit in driver's seat, close all doors
2. insert and remove a working key in the ignition four times and insert once more, leaving key in ignition.
3. do not turn the key during the inserting and removing
4. open driver's door and close six times (can press button in door frame)
5. security lamp on dash should be solid indicating correct mode (if flashing, start over from inserting and removing key)
6. remove working key
7. insert new key, security lamp flashing
8. wait until security lamp goes dark (60 seconds)
9. new key is recognized by car and can start engine

If there are 5 master keys registered with the immobilizer, it won't accept any more (indication might be 2 flashes, pause, 3 flashes when attempting to sync a sixth key), so just do an erase if you can't get it to work after trying for a few times. You have to erase them using a similar method (with just an old working key, insert+remove key one more time [6x] and open+close door one more time [7x], after the 7th close of the driver's door the immobilizer light will stay lighted for one second, remove the old key quickly after that and all but that one you just removed are erased.)

 

where did you get your new key?

 

I tried buying one from eBay it would not pair... then went to Noble lock and Key out of San Diego, they laser cut mine with pics I sent of my only key sent it out fast and cheap. They supply many locksmiths with their keys got a great price. Their key comes with the blade, plastic and transponder be very careful if you order elsewhere that you get all 3 components

Two cut keys for $50 from a photo!

I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't just got two keys and a programmer for $75 myself. The keys work perfectly. I thought I could program with out the $23 programmer but I couldn't. Looks like the above post may be able to do it without getting the programmer. Key fobs have same buttons as stock key and it even has a nice Lexus logo.

can buy key/fob/chip (RX330 chip is ID68. 315MHz) and key cut service on AliExpress.com. make sure seller offers key cutting service ($4). Upload picture of your key.
