Disabling AFS light
2008 RX 350 240K mi
Hit a deer last year (I believe it survived) which wrecked my left front headlight which was HID with the steering / leveling mechanism. I replaced it with an aftermarket part. Still HID but but no mechanism. Moved the ballast over, new bulb and I’m good. But naturally the AFS OFF light flashes.
I salvaged the motors etc from the old unit and plugged them in thinking I’d just tie them up but it did nothing.
Pulling fuse 18 (as I recall) from the interior panel turned it off but also a bunch of other important stuff. Is there a way to nix the light without affecting other things. ABS warning isn’t cool.
