Cleaning ABC pillars
New-to-me 2004 rx330 here... wondering if anyone has suggestions on cleaning the water marks off the pillars as seen below. I'm a little hesitant to use some kind of brush on this material. A pillars and this trunk area (C/D pillar? ) are the worse offenders. TIA

I used carpet cleaner and a microfiber and scrubbed by hand. Be careful though as scrubbing too hard will pull off material. It’s flocking adhered to a plastic panel

You have to address the source of the leak, otherwise you will forever be cleaning the stain. The leak comes form the roof rack bolts where the seal has dried up causing gaps that allow the water to drip to the cabin. Classic issue with the RX. You have to seal these areas from the top. Good luck.

Hi, just got a 2006 rx330 two months ago and I noticed the same thing but mine is on the front passenger side. I checked the rack above it and I noticed it's a bit loose and that's probably why. How do I access the bolt? It looks like the headliner needs o be opened...Thanks

I was searching on youtube and I learned that the end plastic cover has a snap plastic and you can see the bolts when you remove the cover. There are two bolts on each side. Is this what you are referring to?

Thread sealant and rubber washers for roof rack bolts, silicone where the cracks are in the metal seams. Never saw a leak again

These panels cleaned up nicely with some carpet cleaner and very careful brushing/patting. I checked the roof rack bolts and they are tight, seal looks good, new even, like a previous owner has replaced it before. Maybe that was the issue in the past. I did replace the yellow clip that holds down one of the endcaps since it was pretty beat.
If this does show up again I'll remove the rails entirely and poke around.

Reminds me I have to reseal my bolts too. The wifey was complaining about the leak recently! The seal eventually dries up and cracks, need to reseal again.
