Default VVT Sensor

Greetings, i have both engine check and vsc light on, after checking the code it shows the vvt sensor , I replaced both and issue remains, If I disconnect the battery then reconnect it it makes the light turn off but if I turn off the car then turn it back on it takes few miles before both lights come back on. Please advise what should I do

Did you check the associated filter for the VVT solenoid? It can cause the code to trigger if it is clogged. The filter is nearby the VVT solenoid and can be cleaned and reused.

This thread is about the bank2 VVT filter, but discusses bank1 as well: VVT https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...-left-ocv.html

Search the threads for more info if you want to tackle this.

So I took out both filters and they weren't dirty, just little dark yellow which is normal but they were not blocked, anytime I work on my car I disconnect the battery, so after I cleaned the filters and put everything back I reconnected the battery and turned the car on and just like any other time I disconnect/reconnect the battery, the engine light was off but again. I drove for few miles then turned the car off then turned it back on and in another mile or 2 2 both lights came back again. at this point I am not sure if the sensors I got are bad or there is something else going on here. if anyone have suggestion please let me know.

What brand were the sensors? it is strongly encouraged in this forum to only use OEM or Denso.
