Smile Doors do not lock

Last month, my key fab stopped locking all the doors although still unlocks the doors just fine. I can manually lock all the doors by pressing the drivers side door lock. I put a new battery in the key fab with no luck.

Any help is appreciated.

I developed the same problem years ago. I live with it. I recall reading on this forum that the three-button module can be carefully opened up and the contacts cleaned, which restores all function. I have not tried.

Does the red ;light on the key blink when you lock with the remote?

+1, it was likely me who posted those instructions somewhere on here. It has worked well, especially so because I added a smaller "filler" object above the contact so that it could be pressed easier.

Smile Lexus key FIXED

UPDATE!!! So my key fab light would only work when pressing the unlock button. I followed Hypervish advice and took the key apart to clean the terminals. When I separated the internal piece to expose the circuit board, I found the three button terminals. I noticed the locking terminal was twisted/turned a little off center. I carefully turned it back in line and that did the trick. I will try and upload a video of the steps I used to fix the key. (hopefully by the weekend)

Thanks for advice.

Here is a video I created after having to fix it again. I think the button is just a little off on the remote so it pushes the inside button a little to the side causing it to detach. Anyhow, here is the video showing how to disassemble the key fab and see the terminals.

After viewing the video I see the real problem. To truly fix it, you need to resolder the terminations of the switch to the printed circuit board. By only gluing the switch down, you are just getting mechanical surface contact that will go bad with fretting and oxidation over time and is not a true fix. You may also push it off pad like you apparently did the first time you fixed it. But maybe this time it will last long enough.
