Default key fob locking issue

I searched and did not find a post similar...so here we go. Unlock button works fine but the car will not lock with the key fob. Indication light lights up but the car does nothing. Panic feature with the lock button works fine. Car gave me a long beep at some point but not sure what I did to make it beep at me. Any advice on getting it to lock with the key fob?

Long beep means a door isn't closed.

Change the battery in the key. Sounds odd but trust me.

Do all the doors not lock or just one?

Also when I lock the car manually I cannot unlock the vehicle wiht the fob but it beeps like it did something...

no ideas? Another update. After the car sat the night the unlock opened. Could it be weak electrical? Im still baffled. Would a aftermarket security system fix the issue?

Did you change the battery in the key yet?

I did not because the fob seems to be working properly. Also I am scared to take the battery out and not be able to reprogram the fob.

To me the fob battery cant be the issue since when I get in the car the lock/unlock button on the door also will not unlock/lock the car.

Could this be faulty lock actuators all around? I see post to replace these but no symptoms...

You dont have to reprogram the fob after you put a new battery in
