I have seen the video on You Tube to remove and fix the module but he doesn't show how to remove the 12volt auxiliary port in the trim panel so the panel can come out. It won't budge! Does anyone know what's holding it in and how to remove the port?
PS: the video is here:
Thanks,
AlanVR

If the trim plastic has not turned hard you can bend it enough [if has hardened over time dont bend as it can break].

From memory there is sliding mechanism that locks the 12v socket.

Thanks Salim. After I read your last post I found this thread " How to remove rear power outlet" and captdalton has pictures! His post #10 on that thread.
Thanks and blessings!

I get the green/white and the green/red connection but what does the green/yellow do? is that for the third brake light?

All done! I used the 3 wire splice recommended and its good to go. What a pain to get to but at least it can be done. The more you learn the less there is to fear!
Blessings and thanks to all!

As in the other thread, this may be the case for your ES300 but the RX300 brake light failure module is located under the left rear trim panel as shown in the video 6 posts above.

The bulb has two filaments. One comes on with your lights and the other comes on with your brake pedal being depressed.
The filaments share a common wire, the green/white wire. the green/red goes to one filament while the green/yellow goes to the other filament in the same bulb.
