2000 rx 3000 key no turn in ignition

2000 rx 3000 key no turn in ignition

steering wheel not locked but stuck key between lock and acc position, will not turn past either to full lock position or past acc to start the car. what can I do?

Same problem, key would not turn. Inserted screwdriver, tap gently. Ta Da.
Key turns , ignition turns over. Sweet. Thanks to all.
