Help! My daughter pulled her key out while key was still in the ACC position. Now we can't turn the ignition. I've read where some rx owners have had success with tapping a flat blade screw driver inside the cylinder. Has anyone had any success with a locksmith? Any advice is appreciated!

I have had occasional troubles with this, but none currently. I never had to resort to the screwdriver, but I would gently wiggle the steering wheel back and forth until I could turn the key. If th3e key was in the lock position but wouldn't turn, I would remove the key, turn it 180 degrees, try again, and do this ove and ove until it worked. I also used graphite lock lube on the key -- be careful of the mess if you put it in your pocket afterward.

Thx trhs75 for your tips. I put graphite in the ignition. Then tried working the key back and forth. I tried rocking the wheel as well. I also sprayed some lubricant in the key slot. Then I took a small flat blade and worked it inside the key slot hoping to locate any misaligned tumblers. After persisting about 15 min I noticed it began to loosen. Slowly, the key worked its way from ACC allowing me to rotate the key fully. Mission accomplished. My daughter was thrilled.
