Default Foglight Bulb

Hey guys I'm new to the forum and I just recently read up on one of these posts how to change the little parking light in the corner...i was successful but I thought at the same time I could reach my foglight bulb from there but i didn't see a way...i'm just wondering how to get to the foglights...I have a 2001 RX300 Silversport...if that little info helps at all.

passenger side fog light: the easiest way is to unbolt the windshield washer tube and removing it. from there you could reach the fog light.

driver side fog light: for me i could reach the bulb without removing anything.

some people actually remove the front bumper, but i think thats way too much work. hope this helps.

ah, I see...I was blindly feeling for it on the driver's side the other day and I yanked out my turn signal and I was like "hmmm..." and I have heard the front bumper removal idea and I thought that was way too much work for a bulb...I will try this later on tonight...thanks a lot zombie! The foglight bulb is just like changing the high/low beams right? Just turn and pull?

The washer fluid tube is a must-go for the passenger side, but for the driver side you can remove the bulb by twisting it loose, then trying to aim the back of the bulb out into the intake tube to give you more room, if that makes sense. I did it several times but lots of scratched up hands with those times, I've changed that bulb about 3-4 times out of just experimenting with different bulb brands. Good luck with yours.

If you have shaky hands or dont have the patience you can always just remove the headlights themselves. That way you dont have to worry about the bulbs hitting anything when you try to put them in.

i tried changing the foglight bulbs today...and failed...I got ahold of the passenger's side fairly easily but I couldn't twist it...so I looked down at it...the direction I am supposed to twist it in has a rod block the path of the twist...the rod can be screwed out it seems like but you must take out the headlight...so I guess now I have to learn how to take out my headlight...which I think i saw before is done through removing the bumper and etc... *sigh*...all for a bulb...the driver's side bulb i can barely grab a hold of...the stock intake gets in the way of my hands and i already cut up my knuckles from it already

Hey man, sorry to hear this. I know what bolt you're speaking of, but have you tried twisting the opposite way away from the bolt? Also you should unclip the wiring from the bulb first, it may help and remember don't give up man! Where in CA do you life?

I live in San Francisco. haha I am really about to give up and just stick these 9006s into my regular low-beams...I can't twist them the opposite way of the bolt that is in the way...and the driver's side is impossible to get to no matter what!

That is really odd, because I have those bolts but my bulbs will twist away from them. Since I live in the East Bay (San Leandro) maybe I'll meet you sometime and take a look, lol sucks I can never make a CL NorCal meet.
